How Long Will The Honeymoon Last?

Fred Thompson is reportedly set to announce soon, if not today, he is opening a national campaign office in Nashville, and possible proclaiming his intentions for a run at the presidency. His decision has been much anticipated by those conservatives who, like me, have been wanting a candidate who is just that. If Fred does decide to enter, could his aura of being the dream candidate be tarnished? It is human nature to be longing for something one may not have, and the idea of Thompson may have carried more excitement than the man himself. I myself have not decided on who I will support as the conservative nominee, so I am hopeful Mr. Thompson can give us the voice we seek. If he does not, his honeymoon as the savior for the party will be short lived.
